The day my group
and I made our observation was Thursday, November 10, 2007 and it was around 9 am. The day was very cold; one of the first really cold
days of fall.

Photo A was taken outside
of the Stamp Students Union. This is where we have bought our books and Maryland
gear for the past four years as well as lunch and coffee in between classes.

Photo B was taken outside
of the Benjamin
Building, better known as the Education
Building. This is the epicenter
of campus for education majors. It’s where 100% of our classes are now
and where 99% of them have been throughout our careers here as education majors.

Photo C was taken outside
of the Cole Field House. Most of us gathered here during our orientation the
summer before our freshman year and some of us even met here. We may have even
gone to basketball games here before the use of our new facility, the Comcast Center.

While we were walking around,
campus smelled like fall – like the cold and like crying, crunching leaves. It
felt cold, brisk and windy. It was mostly sunny but had that twinge of gray in
the sky that it gets when fall first begins. The things we heard were cars driving
by and people walking and talking.
